New York’s First Female Governor
Kathy Hochul will make history by becoming New York’s first female governor. Yes, it took a man who couldn’t keep his hands to himself to make this happen, but here’s hoping Kathy can start a trend of females in power in New York.
A HUGE thank you to all the women who came forward to stop Andrew Cuomo's unacceptable behavior. We understand the stigma attached to reporting harassment, especially in high-profile cases. However, this was a big win for all women.
Introducing Selma Blair
Anyone who has seen Legally Blonde knows Elle Woods’ nemesis turned friend, Vivian Kensington, played by Selma Blair. In 2018 she went public with her Multiple Sclerosis diagnosis, which her Sweetest Thing co-star Christina Applegate just revealed this week she suffers from it.
Like most people, I didn't know how MS affects people, but Selma Blair's documentary Introducing Selma Blair gives us an inside look at her harrowing experience. After seeing the trailer, you can bet I'll be in theaters on October 15 to see her story. It looks like a raw, realistic story.
Here’s sending all our badass betch vibes to two BABS who are fighting the battle of their lives, Selma Blair and Christina Applegate.
Women Dominate at the Olympics
Of Team USA’s 113 medals at the Tokyo Olympics, sixty-six were won by women! I’m not usually one for math, but to put it in perspective that’s 58.4% of all medals won were by women.
This medal victory is not a male vs. female thing but a testament to the equal investment into women's potential in athletics. It makes me think that if we made the same investment in politics, business, and other careers for women, how far could we go?
Just a tiny point of interest, this is the fourth consecutive Summer Olympics where women won more medals than men.

Of course you knew I'd have a comment. Lol. I would like to expand on the Olympic comment and say OMG way to go women Olympians!! They kicked booty and took medals 🏅 !!
But I'd like to point out Simone Biles. A lot of people were angry with her for taking care of herself. She pulled out of most of the competitions because she was having extreme anxiety and stress and add to that "the twisties" that happens to gymnasts when they can't find their center point while twisting in the air causing them to lose control, fall and potentially hurting themselves.
She opted out and she needed to. I am so proud of her for talki.g about anxiety…
